Fougères (about 20km away) is a much larger town that boasts several large supermarkets (Carrefour is the largest) as well as some smaller boutique types. Look out for the 'Mimm' clothes shop in the same complex as Carrefour which is the French equivalent of New Look (same company) but which is generally ahead of the UK in terms of fashion trends.

On Saturday mornings, there is a large street market selling a variety of produce from tablecloths to fish.
